Hindi is the Indian language almost every voice AI platform supports, so the real differences for 2027 are elsewhere: how naturally the agent handles Hinglish, whether it can use Indian numbers, and what a connected minute costs in total.
Facts below are from each vendor's own pages (checked October 29, 2026). HeyRik is our product.
Hindi support at a glance
- HeyRik — Hindi plus eight more Indian languages and English; free plan with 30 call minutes a month, paid plans quoted to volume.
- Sarvam AI — Hindi and 10 more Indian languages; ₹3.50 per minute pay-as-you-go excluding GST and telephony.
- Ringg AI — Hindi and other Indian languages; ₹6 per connected minute including telephony.
- ElevenLabs Agents — Hindi on several models. Plans include call minutes; additional minutes cost $0.08 per minute ($0.16 with burst pricing above the concurrency limit). LLM usage and external telephony charges are separate.
- Bland AI — Hindi (including romanised Hindi); $0.14 per minute on its Start plan, telephony extra.
- Retell AI and Vapi — Hindi through the speech providers you choose; Indian numbers need custom telephony or an imported number.
Test Hindi and Hinglish properly
- 1Speak Hinglish the way customers do ("mera order kab deliver hoga?") and check the agent replies naturally.
- 2Give numbers, amounts and dates in Hindi and check they are captured correctly.
- 3Check politeness: आप vs तुम, and whether the agent matches the caller's tone.
- 4Interrupt it and see whether it stops and listens.
A little more before you begin.
Which is better for India, a Hindi-only or a multilingual agent?
If your callers are spread across states, a multilingual agent lets each caller use their own language. If nearly all speak Hindi, focus on Hinglish quality and price.
