Give your agent an approved source of facts and verify how it handles questions the source cannot answer.

## Prepare a trustworthy source

Use a focused PDF or public website with current, consistent information.

01

### Scope

Include only the facts this agent needs: opening hours, services, policies, or product details.

02

### Quality

Remove obsolete or contradictory information. Make headings, dates, units, and exceptions clear.

## Attach it to the correct agent

Open Knowledge Base in the builder and add your PDF or website source.

01

### Indexing

Wait until processing is complete before testing. Check errors or empty extraction rather than assuming upload means ready.

02

### Grounding

Tell the agent to use approved knowledge for facts and to offer a human follow-up when an answer is unavailable.

## Test both known and unknown answers

Compare the spoken answer against the original source.

01

### Known fact

Ask a question with a specific documented answer, then ask the same question in different words.

02

### Missing fact

Ask something the source does not contain. The agent should acknowledge the gap and use its fallback.

03

### Maintenance

Replace stale sources and repeat these checks after each material update.
