## Set the agent’s identity and behavior

Start in Assistant Details. Review the generated draft before relying on it.

01

### Assistant Details

Check the name, greeting, language, voice, and Instructions. Make the job and safe fallback explicit.

02

### Variables

Give input placeholders safe defaults. Define outputs that describe facts confirmed by the caller, including corrections.

03

### Call Settings

Review speaking, listening, silence, transfer, ending, and post-call reporting. Change one control at a time when testing.

## Connect only what the job requires

A generated instruction does not create a working integration or supply trusted facts.

01

### Integrations

Select a working calendar, sheet, or custom action only when the agent needs it. Remove promises to perform unconnected actions.

02

### Knowledge Base

Attach the approved PDF or website, wait for indexing, and check that it belongs to this agent.

03

### Recent Calls

Use completed phone calls to review the transcript, outcome, captured details, and recording when available.

## Save and check the baseline

Confirm the saved configuration before adding traffic.

01

### Save

Save your changes and reopen the edited area to confirm they are retained.

02

### Read through

Check for unresolved placeholders, unsupported promises, conflicting instructions, and missing human handoffs.

03

### Keep Draft

Finish choosing a voice, adding knowledge, connecting required tools, and testing before switching to Live.
